My name is James Cornford and I sell words and ideas to fund my adventures.

To define things in the more traditional sense, I am a journalist, marketer and PR writer specialising in the sports and lifestyle industries, but with a wide experience base.

My roles have included Head of Media & PR, Account Manager, Olympic Test Event Media Manager, through to Copy Writer, Project Manager and Producer.

I have performed marketing and PR for a wide array of businesses, from the iconic performance arts venues, through to Olympic sports, cycling brands, fashion and multinational manufacturing companies.

My journalistic skills have appeared in; IMB, Sky News, Sky Sports, MBUK,, BikeBiz and Sports Management.

Away from the keyboard I have a love for all things sport related, with the list of those I am yet to try regularly diminishing.

My main sport is cycling, in which I have competed at regional, national and international level. 2012 saw injury enforced retirement from BMX racing after finishing 17th at the 2012 World Championships. I now spend a lot of time on the road bike, including the odd race from time to time, as well as riding and testing mountain bikes.

Away from two wheels I like to hit the water in my kayak and have dabbled with wake boarding and water skiing.
